Description:

Hard gelatin capsule of blue cap and body.

 

Composition:  

1 capsule contains:

As an ctive substances:

 Sterile phagolisates’ concentrate of following lyophilised bacterias: Shigella, Salmonella, E.Coli, Proteus, Staphylococcus, Pseudomonas, Enterococcus.

 

Strength:

Titer of each phage:

Bacteriophagum Shigella;

Bacteriophagum Salmonella;

Bacteriophagum E.coli;

Bacteriophagum Proteus;

Bacteriophagum Staphylococcus;

Bacteriophagum Pseudomonas;

Bacteriophagum Enterococcus

Is not less than – 10⁵.

 Pharmaological activity:

Bacteriophage is a specific virus against target bacteria, which is absorbed into the cell membrane of homological bacteria, destoys its holity, penetrates into bacteria’s cell, propagates and causes the lysis of it.

TRAVELPHAGE ^TM contains only selected virulent phages, against specific bacterias: Shigella, Salmonella, E. Coli, Proteus, Staphylococcus, Pseudomonas, Enterococcus. That is conditioning the high activity and efficacy of this product.

 

Absorption: with oral administration, the active constituantes of medicine are rapidly absorbed into blood and limpha from gastrointestinal system  and easily reach the nidus of infection.

 

Excretion: the medicine is mainly excreted by kidneys and also by gastrointestinal tract.

 

Therapeutic indications:

Travelphage is indicated for the treatment and prophylaxis of the diseases caused by following bacterias: Shigella, Salmonella, E.Coli, Proteus, Staphylococcus, Pseudomonas, Enterococcus or by diseases caused of their unity, like: shigelosis, typhoid, paratyphoid, dysbacteriosis, enterocolitis, acute and chronic colities, dyspepsia in complex therapy, foodborne infections and other bacterial diarrheas.

For prophylaxis, TRAVELPHAGE ^TM is also prescribed in patients of high risk group for their epidemiological safety.

 

Contraindications:

Increased sensitivity to any components of the product.

 

Warnings:

There are no special precaution need when TRAVELPHAGE ^TM is used.

Medicine should be stored in the original package, in the sight protected from light.

 

Interaction with other products:

Incompatibility of the medicine with other pharmaceuticals  is not ascertained. The preparation is possible to be used in compex treatment with other medicines, including antibacterial agents (antibiotics).

 

Pregnancy and lactation:

The product is allowed to be used during pregnanacy and lactation.

 

Effects on ability to drive and use other machines:

TRAVELPHAGE ^TM does not affect on the ability to drive a car and/or use other machines.

 

Dosage and administration:

One of the most important proviso of the effective treatment with this product is to detect the  sensitivity of microorganism to phage (to phages of medicine), beforehand. Product is more effective while using in early stage of the disease.

 

TRAVELPHAGE ^TM should be taken orally on the first day of the disease with first revealing symptoms, in prior of 1 hour before meal.

Treatment duration generally is 1 to 2 weeks. In case of need, it is possible to repeat the treatment course.

 

Recommended dosage schema of intestinal infections treatment is:

Prevention of intestinal infections is:

In case of prevention need, product is prescribed 3-4 times in a week according to the recommended schema:

In the environment of high risk of deasese development, caused by following bacterias: Shigella, Salmonella, E.coli, Proteus, Staphylococcus, Pseudomonas, Enterococcus and also in the epidemy development fear, product is taken daily, one capsule per day. In such case, the dosage and therapy duration increase is acceptable.

 

Overdose:

No cases of overdose have been reported.

 

Side effects:

The medicine is non toxic; no side effects or harm influence on human body are observed after administration of TRAVELPHAGE ^TM.

 

Presentation:

10 capules in a PVC/Aluminum blister. 2 blisters with patient information leaflet are packed in carton box.

 

Storage and transportation:

Store in a dry, protected from light place, below 25˚C temperature.

Keep out of reach of the children!

 

Product distribution is allowed by any type of closed transport, where suitable temperature condition provision is possible, during whole transportation period.

 

Shelf-life:

Product is valid during 2 years, from manufacturing date, if proper storage conditions are obtained. Do not use the medicine after its experation date.

 

Warning:

If after visual inspection of the product any defects is seen, it is not recommended for use.
